E-invoicing

Scope and timing
Indonesia's relevant VAT-invoice process is not a general network mandate applying identically to every business document. Determine whether the seller is a taxable entrepreneur required to issue a Faktur Pajak and identify the permitted issuance channel for its current circumstances.
DJP's Coretax hub contains separate technical directions and post-implementation updates for invoice issuance and input-tax crediting. It should be consulted alongside current taxpayer-specific instructions, rather than treating a historical e-Faktur integration as permanently valid. DJP Coretax hub
B2B VAT invoices, B2C retail documents, government procurement and export evidence need separate mappings. A commercial invoice to an overseas customer does not automatically follow the domestic buyer's VAT-invoice workflow.
Invoice lifecycle and data
DJP's return guidance explains the availability of invoice information to the parties in Coretax. Visibility in the system and successful return filing remain different events. DJP Coretax periodic-return guidance
An official February 2025 operational update records electronic certificates and invoices issued and validated during the transition. It demonstrates operation at that date, not the complete October 2026 eligibility of every legacy channel. DJP invoice-issuance update
Maintain seller and buyer tax identities, authorised signer, invoice number, tax base, tax amount, issue period and authoritative status. Link replacements and cancellations to the original transaction. Keep the customer-facing invoice, platform validation and buyer input-tax treatment separately traceable.
ERP implications
Before deployment, document the exact approved Coretax, e-Faktur or service-provider route for the taxpayer. Reconcile imported invoice records to ERP sales and purchase populations without creating a second invoice when the same document appears in a tax-system feed.
Test rejected identifiers, certificate renewal, a prior-period correction and an invoice accepted by one component but not reflected in the expected return population. Assign tax to determine the reporting period and accounting to explain ledger differences.
Do not infer tax calculation from a software release name. Changes in taxable bases and rates need their own versioned policy, particularly during reform. Preserve old rules for historical corrections rather than recalculating original invoices with today's defaults.
Sources and evidence limits
All three DJP pages were directly read on 17 October 2026. The operational notice is explicitly historical. Current migration exceptions, allowed issuance channels and complete correction specifications were not resolved for every taxpayer; these remain explicit production gates rather than claims that Coretax has universally replaced all previous routes.
Limitations: No claim that all legacy e-Faktur routes have ceased; exact October 2026 channel eligibility remains a deployment gate.

Localisation via local partner
| ERP | Flag | Note | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Business Central | local partner | No Microsoft localization; Microsoft documents that partners localize Business Central here with apps on Microsoft Marketplace (W1 base). | verified [1] checked 2026-10-16 |
| NetSuite | limited native / partner | Oracle lists no country-specific NetSuite help topics; localisation usually through partner SuiteApps or add-ons (region-specific SuiteApps may still apply). | verified [1] checked 2026-10-16 |
Flags are derived from vendor country lists only (Microsoft Business Central availability table, Odoo fiscal localizations, Oracle NetSuite country help, SAP S/4HANA Cloud country versions). SAP S/4HANA Cloud flags use the SAP country-version list (v02_2024). Sage Intacct, Workday, Unit4 and IFS are not flagged yet.
